When I first arrived in KL six years ago I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there were numerous centres for “Mind Body & Spirit” development, which also included Tarot readers as part of the practitioner list. Moreover, I found the centres to be helpful and my fellow practitioners to be most welcoming.
So whether you are a resident of KL or, like some of my clients, are just visiting the city for a short break, finding a Tarot reader can still be a difficult task; who do you choose, are they psychic, are they any good, are they accurate, do they speak English, Mandarin or Hindi? Just a few of the questions a potential client might ask before booking their Tarot reading. For many a Tarot Reading is a one-off event, and so the client will want to ensure that they find someone that suits them. So how does a potential client choose their Tarot Card Reader?
It would appear from my own experiences, and through the questioning of my clients, the most common research is for the would-be client to type in:
“Tarot Card Reading in KL”…..and hope for the best!
As a professional marketer that approach is music to my ears, however, as a dedicated Tarot Reader I would prefer that any potential client would offer a little more effort into their research. So I thought that it would be a good idea to throw in a few tips for future investigations on how to choose the ‘ideal’ Tarot Card Reader in KL.
Research The Tarot Reader
Conduct a little research about the Tarot Reader – go through the reader’s website, learn more about them. Their spiritual philosophy, are they psychic, do they read through intuition, what are their levels of empathy, are they grounded, do they have a sense of humour, what experience do they have. I believe that most potential clients are in need of either some guidance or help, be it practical, spiritual or just plain counselling. It is best that the client is clear in what sort of reading they want or need in order to know what to look for. Going through a Tarot Reader’s blog helps here.
Reviews by other clients can be an indication of the quality of the reader, however, it is the type of words used by the clients that can offer a good indication of the reader’s style, for example: words such as comforting, reassuring, practical, no nonsense, down to earth, efficient would be good indications of the reader’s style. It would be really useful to both the reader and future clients if, after the reading, YOU then added your own review!
Once you have made your choice and have arrived at the reading, try to see if you can either bond or form some sort of a personal connection with the reader, you never know but you just might want to return for further readings in the future… A good relationship allows both client and reader to settle quickly and go straight to the issue at hand.
Admittedly, you will never really know if you are going to click with a Tarot Reader until you have actually had a reading, but the greater the amount of research is more likely to ensure the selection of a reader that can develop a good connection. Moreover, it is your own personality fitting with the reader that will, in part, determine the success of the reading.
Understand Tarot Reading
Many clients that visit me have had readings with other Tarot Readers in times past, they have a fairly good idea of what to expect and, more importantly, what they want from the reading. There are however, many others who have either been recommended or who, for whatever reason, have decided to go to a Tarot Reader for the first time ever. Often these ‘first-timers’ are at best uncomfortable, if not outright nervous because they are venturing into areas of the unknown.
Some, I suspect go along to a reading conducted by me expecting to see a gypsy style manifestation with full bright red headscarf, earrings large enough to be a parrot’s perch and wanting to have my palm crossed with silver…
Really! It’s not like that…
Nonetheless, the client is coming along to pay ‘X’ bucks for an hour’s reading, so it would make sense to find out exactly what they are paying for. How long will the reading be? How many Tarot cards will be drawn? Will the reader discuss each Tarot card? Can they ask questions during and after the reading?
If in doubt – Call and ask!
